Founder & Strategic Partner of Impact Hero.
Akala Francis is a nonprofit leader and human-centered growth and impact strategist with over 10 years of experience building and strengthening mission-driven organizations from the inside. Her work is grounded in real-world leadership across programs, operations, and organizational systems—helping organizations operate with clarity, alignment, and impact.This experience has given Akala a practical understanding of how nonprofits actually run—and where systems, teams, and programs tend to break down as organizations grow. Because of this operational foundation, her approach to organizational strategy is grounded, realistic, and actionable. She is especially skilled at translating vision into programs, structures, and workflows that support effective delivery and meaningful impact, while prioritizing the well-being and capacity of the people carrying the work forward.Much of Akala’s impact has been rooted in operations and a deep commitment to unlocking the potential of individuals, organizations, and communities.In addition to her internal leadership roles, she has supported social entrepreneurs through coaching, program design, and launch support, helping them clarify their vision, build aligned programs, and move ideas into action. Her work is grounded in leadership, capacity building, and empowerment as pathways to meaningful community transformation.
